Mishnah - Daily (Suspended) Following morning services (see Schedule). Mishnah is the earliest written Jewish legal code and is the basis of Talmud.
Rashi on the Parshah - Daily (Suspended) - Rashi’s commentary on the weekly parshah before afternoon services (see Schedule). Rashi is the chief classical commentator essential for the understanding of the Torah’s text targeted to both 5-year olds as well as seasoned Torah scholars.
Talmud - Tuesday Nights (Suspended) This is an in-depth class for Jewish men with a background in the study of Talmud. The pace is quite fast but we try to look at each Rashi and some Tosefos. We are now studying Tractate of Brochos.
Halocho in Depth - Tuesday Nights (8PM) The goal is to explore a modern concept in halakha through the Talmud, the Early Commentators (Rishonim), the Codes (Shulchan Aruch, Tur…) and the modern day halakhic decisions. The topic is Laws of Shabbos. Chaburah (group discussion) Style.
Halocho - Friday Nights Before Ma’ariv. Halocho is the Jewish Law that guides how a Jew conducts even the minutest details of his life. This brief class actually goes quite in depth and is an opportunity to ask the Rov questions.
Tanya - Shabbos Mornings (8:30AM) - “The Written Torah of Chassidus” Both men and women are welcome to the profound meditation on one of the most influential work of Jewish mysticism of the past 200 years.
Current Topics - Shabbos Aftternoons (45 minutes before Mincha - See Schedule). This class is a true highlight of the week and currently focuses on the Ethics of Our Fathers (Pirkei Avos).
Beginners Mynian - (once a month on Shabbos Mevorchim - see Beginners Minian 10:30AM). This is a Russian-language program designed to teach the “how to…” of the Jewish prayer as well as any other relevant Jewish question in a family-like, warm atmosphere. Followed by a full Shabbos Meal.
